What is Rhodiola?
Rhodiola is a an herbal plant and is also know as golden root, arctic root and roseroot. Rhodiola crenulata and rosea are rich in compounds which are used to treat several disorders. Rhodiola has been used in the Orient as a powerful adaptogen and medicinal agent since the beginning of their civilization. It has been considered to be a life-prolonging, wisdom-enhancing “superior herb”. It is a superb tonic and energizer for those living under stressful conditions. It has been used to help support overall vitality and well-being.
Why we chose Rhodiola over Ashwagandha?
We had been told by a few sources that Rhodiola was the superb herb between the two.
We muscle tested over a dozen people on both herbs and found every person tested was weak on the Ashwagandha and very strong on Rhodiola. A couple incidences of hives was reported with Ashwagandha on the test group.
What are the benefits?
Rhodiola improves a person's capacity to absorb and utilize oxygen and is superb for athletes. Extensive research has documented benefits of Rhodiola for anti-cancer, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, anti-radiation, anti-diabetes and anti-allergy effects. It is a safe antidepressant. Rhodiola's prominent scientifically supported functions are:
- Improves blood transport of oxygen and nutrients
- Helps support overall vitality and well-being
- Beneficial to the cardiovascular system
- Powerful immune modulator
- Supports for the lungs and respiratory function
- Support for fatigue
- Helps the regulation of blood sugar
- Promotes healthy and regular heart function
- Protection against cancer, mutation and radiation
- Promotes longevity
- Support for those in stressful living conditions
We recommend taking between 100 mg to 500 mg a day. Even though Rhodiola can reduce anxiety, some people might feel energized from it. Take at least 3 hours from sleep. A word of caution. Because all herbs, including Rhodiola and Ashwagandha can have strong effects on the body they should be used under the guidance of a botanically trained health care professional.
